On 01 April Today's newspaper, it is said that Singapore may revised its 2010 qualifying cup plan to 2014. Think Singapore may have to push the date much further ahead given the current situation. My guess is 2020 the earliest and the worst scenerio maybe forever.  |

To be realistic....unless there's a football revoultion....i say never....FAS not committed to the task....the funding n all....corrwection ...the SSC...not committed...they wan the bowling, table tennis and sailing to put S'pore on the map first.....
Miracle: S'poreans give birth to 1 FAndi ahmad and 9 wayne Rooneys!!!...n 1 goalkeeper (wats the Finnish keeper who plays for the EPL team...?)

Well, dun expect too much..... pay peanuts, you get monkeys. the better monkeys will be lured with bananas to play elsewhere and which our organization (i dun even know the association anymore) are not willing to pay, maybe they should tie up with some syndicate to make arrangements for money to be made available, at least even the games although may kelong, will be more lively.
Maybe s'pore pools shoyld contribute 50% of their revenue from soccer bets to bring in more players and commit to building more teams, somewhat like the NASL, where they own the franchise and players contracts.

The way the FAS is going now, scrap the 2010 plan or whatever year plan. Forget the world cup at all.
I'd rather we don't enter than to get thrashed 24-0 by Germany or other teams.

The problem with FAS is , it is run by a group of jerks who does not play football at all. Its like the SSC appointing me as the chairman of Singapore's Wushu Federation. As long as idiots run the organization then the more idiotic singapore soccer become. Let's be honest the real local talents are there but its not in the National Team but FAS stupid red tape will prevent them from being picked.

aiyah, so long as there's no administrative desire to win, there's no hope. FAS must be run like the NASL, then maybe we got chance of getting somewhere.

Let's be honest the real local talents are there but its not in the National Team but FAS stupid reds tape will prevent them from being picked.more like "...-supporting top ppl are too sh#tty in their minds to come down and see the real local talents on display at Bugis every Sunday 5pm." |
