Read the Straits Times Sports section with interest this morning. It says that in our search for a national coach to replace our dear Dane, Archie Knox is shortlisted. I can't imagine him as our national coach. Jan already has problems with the team in his slow but clear english, Archie will bring with him his scotish acent and the whole national team will not understand him at all. How to play to the coach's instruction???
What you guys think??

Well Archie can speak english, maybe a little hard understanding but at least he can speak. I dont think however he should be the man for us. He has had experience with with Rangers and Everton as an assistant but what differs him from Jan Poulsen then?
Maybe they should bring in Walter Smith as well... hahaha.... that will be good

We may have the best manager/coach in the world but as long as the red tape stays and also the attitude of some of our local boys remains the way it is, I might as well watch primary school kids play. we will not improve, they dun understand that the manager can only do so much, it is the players attitude and their willingness to play and win that wins games! The local games here lack fire and soul....

Can't believe you guys have shortlisted Archie Knox. Archie Knox? ? Make sure he doesn't bring along his baseball bat to training.

straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/sports/story/0,4386,192611,00.html? So Archie is one of the 3 shorlisted and is in Singapore now. I wonder what FAS sees in him? We Evertonians know him well enough! Baseball bats in training, weird coaching methods.... Everton youth team players seem to be improving since Alan Irvine took over. And I can't stand it when the papers keep mentioning him as the ex-man u no. 2... His last job was with Everton and not man u...
