There's just too much speculation going around about Rooney's future.
Rooney's 18 yrs old, born and bred an Evertonian, offered the BIGGEST contract in Everton's history. Do you think Rooney, on his OWN freewill will turn this offer down? Do you think Rooney will even consider leaving his boyhood club now?
His agent is trying to brainwash him now. I'm pretty sure that it's the work of his agent that the media gets news about Rooney leaving Everton. It's plain simple, agents make a commission out of every transfer they broker for their player. So, if Rooney moves, his agent makes tons of money. Rooney stays and his agent earns nothing.
Look at Vieira's situation as well. He has had pledged his future at Arsenal just last season, now there's news of him wanting to move to Real Madrid. It's more of his agent wanting him to move rather than the player himself.
Agents are having too much influence with players these days. If a club refuses to sell his player, the agent will give the media stories to hype up the situation and unsettle the player even more.
Rooney is the best thing to happen to us in a long time. I do not want to see Rooney leaving Everton, for now at least. If we can't give him the level of success he wants in a few seasons, I won't blame him for leaving us.

If only Rooney himself can make the final decision.... things will be easier.....
