HI guys
Recently I received an email from an expat here who is an Evertonian.
In the mail, he mentioned that he did not know that we actually have a supporters' club here and he wants to join us VERY MUCH.
He also mentioned that theres a pub that he has been watching the Everton matches along Tanjong Pagar . This pub has agreed to let him transform it into a Blue Bar and he is gathering Everton memorabilia so that he can hang these things at the pub.
What say you SESC? I think its a great idea though. Please let me know what u think abt it here so that I can get back to him.
Hes also interested in the Sunday footie as he read abt it in this forum. Pple, we need to get the club going again, especially with the Rooneymania. He has been in the papers every single day! How can we not have a functional club?@!!!!

hi guys,
it's me...i m back!!! cant use the old login for many months... have to resort to register as a new member...
it will be good if we can have a regular pub for SESC.... as i believe we will have more supporters now if Rooney is staying at goodision...
but think about it... will the new breed of evertonians jump ship if rooney jumps??? once an evertonian, forever an evertonian....
will they know who is yobo, stubbs, gravesen, duncan, radz??? or even sheedy, sharp, gazza, watson, lineker, reid???
hope they can pick up the great everton history first before deciding to be part of us ;D ;D ;D

Our dear friend actually went to Lisbon to catch a few of the matches. He just got back recently.
Heres the excerpt from his email to me regarding the new haunt.
"The place in Tanjong Pagar is called the Drunken Duck, on Craig Road (between Tanjong Pagar and Neill Road). It's close to Tanjong Pagar Station, or you can also easily get there from NEL Outram Park. He has a small screen and a large projector in the main bar, and a screen in the back games room (pool table, video game).
I can have a word with him, but generally his place is pretty cheap anyway ($5.50 for a mug of beer). What he's more likely to do is lay on some food - but it would depend on numbers. How many do you normally get on matchdays? He's keen to do something, as he's become something of an Everton fan since I moved in. I'll be seeing him later this week so can ask.
Talk to you soon, Matt"
How people? I need to get back to him ASAP. SESC committee members, please get back to me. I am now thinking what I shld tell him regarding the numbers we have on live match days...its pathetic!
I do feel that a sheltered place is gd as we need not fear the rain anymore. Furthermore, we can hang out flags and jerseys there!
(I feel like I am the publicity/marketing manager hahaha)

sounds like a cool idea. count me in. happen to see a liverpool club house the other day behind the white house, so why not start an Everton Club House. I believe our numbers are growing.

Guys, tis me that is behind the new location. He's still interested in showing our games (I watched the battling draw against ManUre on Monday there). The owner is actually a ManUre fan, but he also follows Everton avidly (something to do with my arrival here in January). He's not normally open on Sundays, but will do so if there's an Everton game on, and we have enough numbers. How many do you normally get to watch games? Anyways Livvie has my contact details if you need to know more. I know everyone's a little down about Judas, but being connected to the Everton Shareholders Association I'm a little bit better informed on the situation than most. For legal reasons I can't post here , but can update face to face. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum ;D

Hi Matt, I suggest you meet or call up our club secretary, Kelvin Koh at 96865516, kelamel@singnet.com.sg or our vice-chairman, Stefan Pun at 96975950, stefanpun@pacific.net.sg
A few of the committee members are meeting up this Sunday. You may want to join them.
Cheers! Yusuf Kay

unfortunately, everton is going to be on tv only 5 or 6 times this season i think, thanks to our wonderful performance last yr, so we might as well just do this as and when they are on tv....that way we do not have to impose on others too

I feel that the pub is a gd alternative because when we are at beach bar we are subjected to weather changes and also, when only a few of us turn up, the evertonians look quite pathetic? I think it wld be nice if the pub can come up with some discounts of sorts for the evertonians who go there for the match. That way, we dont look too pathetic if only a few turn up The food is a bonus but not a must. should we check out that place people?
